Hilaire joined the lab in November 2025 as a research scientist and Assistant Professor of Medicine (Research). She has spent her career on pulmonary biology and the metabolic drivers of disease, working on autophagy in cigarette smoke–induced lung injury during her doctoral training and, as a postdoctoral fellow and instructor at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, on mitochondrial dynamics and microRNA regulation in tuberous sclerosis complex and lymphangioleiomyomatosis. Her work has been supported by the NIH, the LAM Foundation, and the American Heart Association.
