Funding
Research in the laboratory is supported by the National Institutes of Health, by disease foundations, and by institutional programs at Brown University and, previously, Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
We are particularly indebted to the foundation and pilot awards. Much of the work described on the research pages began with a small grant that funded an observation well before it was developed enough to compete for federal support, and several of those observations became the basis of later career development and R01 awards. Trainees have also brought their own fellowship support to the laboratory.
